Mental Health and Its Importance

Image
Mental and physical health are super important for how we feel and live our lives every day. Mental health is all about our feelings and thoughts – like if we're happy, stressed, or sad. It's also about how well we can handle tough situations and get along with others. Physical health is about our bodies – eating healthy, moving around, and getting enough sleep. When we take care of our mental and physical health, life gets better! We can handle stress better, enjoy our relationships more, and feel happier overall. Imagine feeling good inside and having the energy to do things you love – that's what good mental and physical health can do for us. If we don't take care of our mental health, we might feel really down, stressed, or anxious. It can be tough to enjoy life or do the things we want to do. And if we don't take care of our bodies, we might feel tired all the time, get sick more often, or have trouble moving around comfortably. Unfortunately, there's still...

Image
COVID-19; the pandemic has been there in our country for a very long time and because of this pandemic, many people have lost their loved ones or even themselves. Everything was on full lockdown and everyone stayed home. My family and I also did the same.  During the first wave we were not that much scared, we didn’t even believe that there is really a pandemic. We all considered it fake in the first wave. But during the second wave, the whole world was shaken and my family also faced problems due to it. We got so much scared because my dad got a fever during the second wave.  We didn’t want to believe the fact that he has COVID-19, so we just gave him medications and we didn’t separate him from us because we never told him that he even had corona. At first, he just had a mild cough and fever, which improved after 3-4 days. But later, after a week, he told my mom that he had a high fever and was feeling very weak.  My mom and everyone else got scared because we won...

Social Media: Harmful or Helpful?

Image
There is no doubt that social media has become a major part of modern life. And I can’t see that changing much in the near future. Social media definitely has had a negative impact on my own life. We all know the impulsive addiction to checking social media feeds when you really have no reason to do so. Whenever we are doing any activity, we constantly keep our mobile phones next to us, and we keep checking the social media. Social media has a certain kind of addiction through which we can’t keep ourselves away from it for too long. This addiction of ours is very harmful and it can lead to many poor consequences. Social media can be just like a digital form of sugar. Sure it may feel good and it’s fun to eat, but you can’t live on it. Just like sugar, social media is made up of empty calories and isn’t intended to keep us healthy and well in the long-term. On the other hand, social media has proved itself very useful also, such as we can communicate to anyone through it, we can...

Cooper, a ginger cat is my indoor cat. He is so adorable and cute and does so many interesting activities which just makes us love him more and more. When I come from college after a long day, he waits for me at home and then run towards me and starts rolling on the ground. He then starts purring when I kiss him and his purring has a therapeutic effect on me. He never leaves me alone and is very affectionate. This Ginger cat is an indoor cat and sometimes he does get bored because he does not have many activities to do inside the house. I have bought him some toys and he plays with them a lot and he meows at me whenever he wants to play and gets a little aggressive when I don’t play with him. Ginger cats have an unexpected behavior sometimes so he surprises me by his activities.  Cooper eats food i give him but his favorite one is wet food. He loves bird watching and does it all the time. He is also very welcoming towards my friends and meets them and stays very clean and cl...
